In the U.S.,it would be April 9 (or 9th), 2012, or 4/9/12.

What difference does it make

If we are talking about a future event like BBT (imagine it being April 5th or May 4th) it could get very confusing, especially for those who are only really used to the American way of doing a date. What is the saying...When in Rome do as the Romans do.

I will side with Rocket that I was confused for a minute as to why you put an April 12th date on the next M&G.

The United States military normally uses the "dd mmm yyyy"
