Grizzly Hit by a Harley
Can you believe a motor Cycle killed this HUGE GRIZZLY.
This grizzly was hit by a Harley on Lolo Pass.
This is the pass between Lolo, MT and Kooskia, ID.
Look at the claws on that sucker!
The biker made it thru three days in the hospital! The hog's a wreck!
Lesson learned:
Don't go Bear Hunting with a Harley, they don't last but one hunt!!!!!!!!!!
-
Glad the biker made it but damn, that was one big Cranberries bear!
-
Harley drew first blood. That means the bears will be wanting to get even. Glad I'm on a Honda. :c
-
All I can say is, if you are going to have an encounter with an animal like that, then you best kill it at the FIRST meeting, cause you won't have a second chance :ohwow:
-
:( I hate to see animal hurt or killed...
-
I carry my pepperspray just in case they want to ride TWO-UP or not!! :banghead: :cuss: :bikerider: ::) :congrats: :congrats: On that kill!!!
-
any pics of the bike??
-
I hit a cow one time, never considered taking pictures - you stay in sock for a day or so - or until you wake up in the hospital and the bike is long gone. Nope no pics of the bike :)

You hit a cow on a bike! :ohwow: You da man! :notworthy: That wasn't one of those meant to do stunts was it? :stickpoke:
-
Damn, good thing he killed the bear. That bear would have ate his a$$. :ohwow:
-
Not a meant as instructions or to do stunt - one of those 70's experiences - HWY 87 just south of Center Texas - cow was just there :ohwow:
Next thing I remember was an old farmer asking if I was OK - went back out and woke up in Nacogdoches - shattered shoulder, had to rebuild, ribs, and rash to beat the band, too kool to wear protection then - NOT now.

An X rider would have just went around the bear!
-
I hit a coyote just north of Dallas on the "X" and was able to kept on riding. The coyote yelped and took off running. That's not to say I wasn't white knuckled. I think I was still shaking when I pulled in the garage and noticed the hair on my front tin. Thank God I saw him come out of the ditch at the last second and was able to bare down. Good thing the "X" has some weight to it.

Don't want to burst any bubbles, but I believe this bear was hit by a truck on pass between Montana and Idaho.

Gumbo likes to day dream somethimes about riding a Harley and bear hunting!!! :couch:
-
I was riding a Harley 1970 shovelhead when I hit the cow (actually about a 400lb steer) did not ride again until the VTX last April. ::) Best ride ever for the price points, value is what counts when you reach the right age. ;D ;D ;D
-
And now for the million dollar question, as slow as a harley is, how do you hit a cow? :cantbelieve: Oh wait 1970 shovelhead, I get it!(http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m252/RiverIsMyGoddess/icons/smiley_zzbong.gif)

did the cow get a ticket for jaywalking?

You're assuming there really was a bike involved...I rather doubt it, but I am a fuddy duddy and usually don't fall for stuff like that...not saying you do. ::) :couch: :cool2:  :bikerider: :c

No pics of the bike - I can't say for sure if a bike was involved, just was forwarded to me via email.
Pogogolf you must be getting pretty old if you can't see those AVON treads across the bridge of the bears nose. ;D ;D

Wow hate to debunk an urban legend on my first post but couldn't pass this one up. A pickup truck killed the bear not a Harley. While you might survive an impact with a 400 lb. cow (did you kill the cow?), but surviving an impact with a 800 lb. grizzley that killed the bear is a little far fetched.

it if was a big harley I think the bear and the rider would be in trouble.... 900+ lbs bike plus rider going 80 mph going one way then 800 lbs bear going the oposite way... ouch...
