You're welcome Al...   :c

Maybe the weather will be nicer this year.
I am trying to get my vacation on the calendar before my new boss gets his on there, or I may not get to go. Maybe I will just call in sick.

Randyyyyyyyyyyyyy where are you?? ?? ??  We need your confirmation.  Wayne and I are going to Hawaii the week of April 1-8 and I remember thinking we couldn't go to BBT due to that vacation schedule, so I'm pretty sure those are the dates that Randy told me when he surprised us at a M&G in Houston a few weeks back.  But please please please don't put anything on your calendar until Randy confirms it...what I say is just hearsay.

Just a quick question, why so early in the month this time?  I thought the later dates was to accomodate warmer weather.  ???

as best I can.  Planning and reservations are done a year in advance. Weekends are limited to a few choices.  Blunbonnit blunder was a problem Mothersday and such wrong date was reserved.  Bluebonnits Blume in the spring ( wildflowers ).  Spring is a changeing of the seasons in Texas plan a year ahead for the weather (ha ha ). So we take what we can get days and weather and flowers.  Too hot, too cold, too windy, too wet,too dry ( no camp fires). So it goes come if you can if everything is perfect for everyone it would be great but it won't be!   Ride safe ride long.   :pot:

It was what was available between Easter and Mothers Day. We have to try to schedule around these two holidays so there are not any problems like in the past.

Ok so what, it a couple of weeks earlier this year than last. The Wild flowers were almost perfect last year on the trip home but who's to say what will happen this year. This is Texas, and everybody knows, if you don't like the weather, just wait 10 minuets and it will change. If it's to cool, get a room and wear a coat, if it's hot, wear a sleeve less tee. The whole thing is just about everybody getting together and pop'in a top, eating, riding the roads, laughing at Gumbo, and seeing people you haven't seen in awhile and you may or may not have something in common but, their people you've met before (mostly) and personally, I don't think that there's one that shows up that really gives a AppleSauce about the weather anyway. We got a place to hide in the park, to put our bodies in if it rains or to cold for some people to ride. SO put your Big Boy Pantie's on and stop whinning.

Just my $.02      :c   :bikerider:

Can any of you suggest a place to stay for this? Good hotel or cabins or something? No way I will be camping(hate sleeping in a tent) and I want to plan this out now so I can reserve a room and get the time off at work. I registered last year and never made it due to work. Looking at coming on Friday and leaving Sunday. Hopefully it'll all work out this time and Vero and I will get to meet everyone this year.

The closest hotel to the BBT is the Econo Lodge that is worth staying in. If you look for Lady Bird Johnson RV park and plan on looking for a place to stay in that area!  ;D

Sorry haven't been on here for awhile, have gotten a couple of requests for Motel rooms for the BBT. Last year we offered rooms at $69.50, I will again offer that rate, you must mention that you are coming for the BBT 2011. As always we here at the Super 8 welcome all bikers, we still have a pressure washer, air, and plenty of rags available for your use. Our ad in Ride Texas Mag does give a 15% off the posted daily rate year round. Please call us direct for the BBT deal, make it soon so you will insure a room as we are very busy that time of year.

Thanks in advance.

Okay guys, please excuse my ignorance here...

Looks like the dates for BBT work perfectly for me this year.  I have not attended in the past.  Looks like I should plan on arriving Thursday.  Definitely planning on camping in the park - sounds like too much fun.  I keep seeing the registration forms mentioned, but I haven't found them online just yet.  Am I missing something?

Is there much of a planned agenda or is it just hanging out, riding and eating?  (I can do all of those pretty well!)

Later,
