Twisted Sister Route - Friday Ride
« on: March 01, 2019, 11:43:34 AM »

For anyone interested, here is my route for Friday.  I am planning on riding this with the two friends I am bringing up but sharing in case anyone is interested.  The route takes a bit of a departure from the way I have ridden this before, instead of taking 337 all the way to Camp Wood this one takes 336 North and comes South on 335 to Camp Wood.  I have also put an option for the Lone Star Motorcycle Museum in this one since it's closed Thursday so we won't be able to hit that one until Friday if we decide ti's worth the effort.  In Vanderpool there is a stop at the gas station I lovingly call the "VTX Gas Stop" since they will likely run out of gas before Camp Wood if they don't fill up here.  I am adding a stop at the Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop as well.

Come to think of it, every time I have ridden the other way I am never hungry by the time we get to the Frio Canyon Motorcycle stop because I am still full from breakfast.  Maybe this time I will actually want to get a burger.

True that.  Can't tell you how many times that's happened.

thought you were doing the Brewery tour on friday?   Might I suggest that when you leave Bandera, takr the road thru Tarpley and Utopia to 1050 by Garner SP then go north to Leakey to your present rt. Just a suggestion so your not backtracking. Maybe even stop in Utopia at Los Maples for breakfast pie!.

Last time we went on Saturday and ran into a lot of sport bikes and car clubs.  That is why the Brewery tour is on Saturday.
